Russell Pocknee
Russell was born in Cairns and has spent most of his life here.
A self taught artist, he revels in the rich colours of the acrylic medium which he enjoys for its simplicity and ease of application. Russell has dabbled in painting for over ten years now ,taking his brush to portraits, landscapes through to abstracts.
Russell is very excited to be taking his art on a new journey into the public domain and waits to see what will unfold. Art like life is all full of discoveries, as Russell explains “I enjoy the process of discovering ones self, we have so much inside to tell and to find some way to express it ,is so important to all. I hope who ever looks at my works will be able to find and understand a little bit more about themselves too.”
